This radio is off, yet it is blinking yellow/orange. Is this screenshot a bug? If so, is there a workaround?

From afar, especially in a larger house, it looks like it's on --- only it's the wrong color and it blinks more.

This has been reported as a bug report here.

A work-around has been given -

Go to buy mode, sell the stereo, then press the undo button and go back to live mode. The animation will disappear after a second.

But may not work for all.

I hope my Sims don't have to upgrade all the radios in that house

--- they have 7 radios and 2 DJ booths, --- six of them have level 10 handiness, though.

I was also able to 'fix' this by simply turning on the stereo again (even though it was on) and making a sim listen to it.

Play, I tried what you said could be a workaround for this bug. It worked at first, but when my Sims turned it off again, the problem reappeared. Thanks anyway.

There may not be much that can be done about this particular bug right now, if the work-arounds don't work. The devs know about this bug and may be looking for away to fix it.

Some have reported the stereo animation glitch has been fixed. However, some have reported not fixed. If this glitch is still happening for you, please report about it in the thread linked below:

Weirdly having the parenthood pack seems to fix it but that it is a side effect rather than planned on purpose! Guessing a proper fix will be out at some point.

I also have this issue, but it goes away if the stereo breaks and is repaired.

The parenthood pack hasn't changed it for me. And yes, I repaired the game after installing, cleared the cache etc.
