News on an actual Expansion Pack yet?

Hi everyone. As it's now been over 6months since the last expansion pack, I'm surprised we haven't heard any news on when the next one is out. I know there are loads of rumours about what it could be.. but not a peep about when there will be one. Don't get me wrong, I like the game packs and stuff packs etc.. but was interested to know if anyone had heard anything? Thank you!

There has been no official word on an expansion pack, which is frustrating since they are now just releasing 1 a year.  Certain modders have dug up coding about stuff for pets, but once again, that doesn't count as official word.

Thanks @Bri I had no idea they had reduced the expansion packs to only 1 per year. Shame..

@KTK010 in another announcement I did say that EA was planning on talking about Sims Mobile, and Sims 4, so we might get word on the next expansion pack at that time.

That's at EA Play 2017 right? I was wondering if they would announce the pets next expansion pack then.

Yes they're planning on talking about the Sims mobile edition and Sims 4 at EA Play 2017.

Hmm...
I wonder why it's taking so long to get at least an official tease on the new EP's theme? I wouldn't be mad if the unofficial rumors of a Pets EP turned out to be true.

Maybe they'll say something after the upcoming Fitness SP is released?
