Grim keeps sparing my Sim.

I have set my Sim on fire three times in a row and each time Grim shows up and spares her bringing her back to life. She doesn't have a death flower although other household members do have them.
I have locked the other Sims in the house and nobody has pleaded for her.
Her traits are romantic cheerful and insane if that makes a difference. Why won't she die.

Those death flowers are the cause. Unlike Sims 3, death flowers on the dying Sim don't count but ones on other household members do. If ANYONE in the house gives the reaper a death flower, the Sim is recovered.

Does the insane trait have anything to do with it?

Nobody gave grim a death flower. Eventually on the 5th go she died. But in a practice file with just that one Sim it still took 3 attempts to burn her to death.
Evidentially Grim likes her lol.
