How do I unstuck a Sim in the sims 3?

Have you tried the standard cheat for resetting a sim?

Here's the standard cheat, if you don't know it:

Try:
Control + Shift + C (though not the pluses)
then type: testingcheatsenabled true 
and then: resetSim FirstName LastName and press enter
e.g. resetsim Mortimer Goth (if Mortimer is stuck)
