Mods Not Loading in Game

So I've recently been trying to download mods on my Mac. I went in to the sims 4 made a file titled Mods and copy and pasted the downloaded files into the folder. I made sure to decompress the zipped files and made sure my game was off before opening it up to see the mods. I went in to the options menu after opening my game, and looked to see the list of mods and nothing! I was wondering if anyone else had had that problem or anyone knew how to fix it?

I play on a PC so I am not sure but in the game options menu there should be two toggles one named 'Enable custom content and mods', and the other entitled 'Script mods allowed'. These should both be checked to allow the mods to show up in-game.

This isn't like the Sims 3, where you need to make the Mods folder. In the Sims 4, it's the game that generates the Mods folder automatically with a resource.cfg file inside. If you didn't let it do it, resource.cfg must be missing and that's why mods don't load.
Move mods to a safe place, delete your Mods folder, start the game and it will generate a Mods folder with resource.cfg inside. Quit, check it's all there and only then move your mods to this folder. Restart the Sims 4.

Thanks Candyd, good spotting. I did think it was a bit weird that the OP made a mods folder but thought it must be a mac thing not a TS3 thing!

Thanks! I'll try that! So just to make sure I need to move my mods folder open the game all the cc and scripts is enabled and let it generate the new file and add the mods that way!?
