Game is creating copies of buy mode objects

Even though my Sim was using her Slablet, it was still showing up in her inventory, even when she put it down on the table. When I directed her to interact with it again, it went into her inventory and suddenly she had two Slablets.  I decided to sell one as I didn't want two but when I did the other one became completely unusable and couldn't be sold, dragged or interacted with at all.

Why is my game creating an extra copy of the Slablet, I don't want it doing this, is there any way I can prevent it?

This is a common bug just now. I am getting copies of homework books and guitars and all sorts! Usually if you ignore the double it sorts itself out the next time you go through a loading screen.

There was an open bug report about this mainly focusing on duplicate guitars but I can't seem to find it. Here's the link to the bug thread in case you want to look for yourself.

Yep. this fixed fixed itself, I noticed when I reloaded the game later on.

I'm getting a lot of weird inventory glitches right now, particularly when placing houses form the gallery (my own builds, not random downloads). Bookshelves, toy boxes, and the like are showing up empty, and I have to replace them to get them to work properly. I'm getting the duplication issue also. One of my non-scientists mysteriously ended up with a sim-ray.

so my 15k violin is made from a bug? so that's where it comes from.

I've recently been getting dupes when I try to move certain objects in build mode. Particularly things like bassinets will copy an new object instead of just relocating it. Using the delete key will get rid of the copy but sometimes it will randomly re-spawn in the original location. CL is also causing some strange effects, with festival objects spawning on top of other objects. I haven't had a chance to test most of these issues since the February patch. It's possible that they fixed some of them, but they weren't listed in the notes.

@meubanks  if you leave a festival lot while a festival is still active then the next festival of food vendor etc can spawn on top of the first etc. Basically, if you stay until each festival lot is empty (and the festival finished of course) then this double/triple spawning won't happen.
