Disabling Ads?

I don't have a problem donating money to your site since it has helped me quite a bit.  However I want to be sure that when I donate I can leave my adblocker on.  I'll be donating through paypal and likely using the affiliate link.

For the forum - all that needs to be done is to register on the forum. However, this only gets rid of ads for the forum.

** Please Note: The News portion of the forum (as seen below) is not an ad, it displays to everyone regardless if you are a member or not. It is a default feature of the forum. It cannot be turned off.

The guide is a different area. The ads cannot be disabled by donation, unfortunately. It is not set up to be done that way. Ads are placed to help support Carl's Guides.

Where is the News portion of the forum? I'm  not sure I've ever seen it...

Okay, I just did a quick check and the New section displays for http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/ (which I haven't used for years)
The newer http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/ (which I read frequently) has no News section.

Would it be possible to add a News section to the Sims 4 guide's front page, too?

I am talking about the forum, not the guide.

The news portion of the forum that I am talking about is in the upper right of the screen, where it says News:. As seen in the photo below:

Thank you. I'm familiar with your regular updates there and find them very useful.

The reason I mention the "News" box on the Sims 3 Guide is that when the forum went down last year, I had no idea what the problem was.
Finally, I found the explanation on the Sims 3 Guide. If the forum site goes down, can we still access the Forum's "News"?

Maybe this is something I should be posting in the Suggestions thread, instead?
