How to catch Deathfish at bright daylight
« on: December 03, 2010, 07:24:11 PM »
I find this out by accident. When my sim Max Skills had stocked his own pool with deathfishes he started fishing. Because he was outside I places the nearest incense holder near him at that was the one from China. It turns out that while he was catching deathfish at the obviously hours between 11PM and 03AM I saw he was still catching deathfishes. I'm sure it is no bug, and beside that all my mods are save (just kidding moderators :P). When I places the insence in the house again Max stopped catching deathfish, but after I put it back near the pond he started catching them again. And it was in the middle of the day! :O
Maybe this is something for the guide or so. I haven't find something like did before.

If you've stocked Deathfish in your own pond, you'll be able to catch them from it any time during the day.  It's just the normal spots like the cemetary that have the time limits for catching Deathfish.  I really don't think the incense is the reason he's able to catch Deathfish, but it would be worth testing further.

I have no idea on how to test this further, but I did check the pond without the incense and there was no deathfish named. After putting the incense back beside the pond the deathfish was named again when checking the fishes that lives there. If it is true that the deathfish is available all day long at your own pond, than I find it strange I couldn't catch one during the day without the insence. Do you have any explanation? :)

No idea why it would stop when you removed the incense, but I agree with Pam - I've caught deathfish from a pond I've had my sim stock at their home at all hours of the day.

The only way to test it further is to keep doing it many times and see if you keep getting the same results.  That's just such an odd thing to happen.
