Autonomy question

Couple of questions.

I've got a Sim I got through the randomize feature. Did very little other than to change her hairstyle and name. She's the first sim I've ever intentionally given the insane trait to. Here's what's new. Every time she gets out of the shower, she's wearing something different. As in, she'll randomly be in her formal gear or party wear. I have never had this before. Bug? Or something else?

Also new, I have sims who are autonomously sitting down to practice writing or to practice programming or create knife blocks. Don't get me wrong. It's great. I've just never seen this before.

Doesn't sound like any too usual there. All sims will choose a random outfit from the cas created ones after showering or bathing etc. Although... normally it is an everyday outfit that is randomly chosen. Also sims will autonomously do just about everything given the right environment, even garden, although that is quite rare.

In TS3 insane Sims would wear inappropriate clothing; it could be that TS4 insane Sims have been tweaked to do the same. I've been having Sims occasionally write and program, too -- not enough to gain much skill but some. The attraction to the wood-working bench is possibly a bug that they'll fix. I don't know how many knife blocks one of my Sims produced.

If it's a bug regarding woodworking, I'm not sure that I mind. I prefer it when my sims do things that are useful for my goals lol.

Being attracted non-stop to the woodworking bench is a game bug. Being pushed to do other skills autonomously isn't.
