Lingering side effects from having been a vampire
« on: June 06, 2018, 04:29:26 PM »
Hey guys,

I know that a Sim who has been cured of vampirism will occassionally sleep poorly...eternal bones and all that, they get a negative moodlet, etc. I now notice a lingering distaste for normal food as well. You know how a Sim in the process of becoming a vampire will be disgusted by food and cringe after a mouthful? They display a similar reaction to food after having been cured, BUT - not all the time. That's why I put it in the same category as the sleep issue, although the eating behavior doesn't get a similar moodlet.

Anyone else notice this?

I haven't but have you deleted the localthumbcache.package file from your The Sims 4 folder?

Yes, and repaired. It persists. All four of my cured vampires display the behavior. I have even tried getting them all to drink a second cure, but it doesn't do anything other than making them nauseous.

OK, I guess it's a bug then. I can't find anything on the EA Bug Thread so I'm guessing this is something new. Can you test in a brand new game with no mods and cc (cheats allowed if needed) and see if the bug is still present?

Sorry for having been AWOL again. I couldn't replicate the behavior in a fresh save, so I assume it's just my particular save being weird (as usual) :-\

No worries, I have saves that are like that, act weird and then can't be replicated. It'll be an odd combination of traits and ages or life states and location or perks and powers..or who knows what!
