[BUG] Sim ate Fruitcake.. makes disgusting face at everything food now.

I had zero knowledge about the fruitcake bug when I started playing my sims 4 game again last night. I saw that back in September 2015 there was supposed to be a fix to the issue? But obviously that didn't take hold.

My character Hex was coming home from work in the new City Life expansion apartment and someone had left Fruitcake out and he grabbed a plate and ate some before I could stop him.
Now literally everything he makes or eats, he looks disgusted with no matter the quality of the dish.

I'm not seeing negative effects from it but he has the typical, "Complain about dish" option when speaking with others while eating.

It's just kind of annoying to watch him scowl and make noises when he eats.
Any way to fix this issue or will I have to start from scratch on a new character?

This bug is back. If you go to the latest page, which is pg.9 there isn't any fix or work-around at this time. But you can click the Me-Too button to show you have the issue. Or explain your situation and maybe share your saved game to see if they can help solve this bug.

I wish they would just patch out the fruitcake altogether. The sims keep it in their inventory instead of leaving it on the lot when they have there welcome parties, and then get bad moodlets from eating it. It's also a pain to get rid of it. You can't just have them clean up the whole stack. It can only be cleared from the inventory a serving at a time.

@meubanks  you can drag it straight to a dishwasher or rubbish bin which is what I do to get rid of it. Thing is it is such a good food for those sims who like it, they get a positive moodlet and it never spoils.
