All Male Sims are Missing *Solved*

Hi All,

Please I need your help. I started playing my game about 6PM easter time on Jan 12. I got home about 8:15pm and all the MALES are gone. All the men, boys, toddler boys GONE. I can't go back. NO MODS!!!!

I had already saved before i noticed. I went back to find the save file and nothing. As we speak I see the time I played but, nothing it coming up from 5:45pm today. It's going back to October. Not cool at all. I can start from there but, I made new homes reshuffle. I get so tired at times at this game.

I'm not really sure what has gone wrong. Did you leave your game playing unattended? Did the sims die? Or is it a save file that has somehow been corrupted?

It may be possible to roll back to an earlier save time @MrsFlynn  to before this error occurred.

There may not be much than can be done, if there isn't a previous save.

Hi All, Thank you all so much for your assistance. I found the issue. It's a MOD. Oh my god. I duplicated what I did and come to find out it's a MOD. Everything for the pass month is lost. None of my saves are working. I have to start from Halloween. I'm not sad. Maybe I need to clean up my game. Wow, a MOD got rid of men. sad.........

Good you figured it out. Always take any mods and cc out when you encounter a bug or a glitch as 9/10 times its the cause!

Please help. My male sims are showing up in CAS and in the world/household I'm playing but are not able to be selected and played as members of the household. This is new since the update that just came out. I appreciate any help.


Update--So I turned mods off and then males came back as playable characters......So new question, how can I find out which mod(s) is(are) causing the problem? Do I have to remove all mods from mods folder and then go through and re-add each mod individually and then load the game and see if it works? Or is there a better/faster way? Thank you.

Yep, go through the mods and find out which one(s) are outdated. There might be away via a mod, but it may be best to check for yourself to make sure everything is okay. Read post linked below for more info.
