Freezing issue

Recently I've been having an issue with both the sims 4 and the sims 3 where it will freeze for anywhere between a few seconds to a minute and then unfreeze and continue on as normal.

The specs of my PC are as follows:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
Speed: 2.4 GHz

8.0GB

FREE DISK SPACE
806.8 GB


Things I have done to try and remedy the issue:

Downloaded a Game Booster
Ran in laptop mode
Turned the settings to the lowest possible
Changed my sims 3 so that it recognises my graphics card
Repaired both games via origin.
Uninstalled and Reinstalled
I don't use any CC or mods for either game
Deleted my cache
Updated my graphics drivers
My games are all up to date

I've pretty much tried everything that I've come across but I'm still having the issue. Please help

The processor isn't made for gaming. These types of laptops with U processors aren't designed to play games. They're more made for office/homework, watching videos listening to music and other light tasks.

Due to that you may experience random freezing and lag. There may not be a whole lot that can be done about that, but there are a few tips in the post linked below to try.

Without getting too technical, they make the U (Ultra-low-voltage or UVL) processors to save energy/electricity to help save battery life. But they do this at the expense of the processing power games need. So it makes for a not so good gaming experience.

The Sims 4 game is very efficient however it is very demanding of system resources and requires more of a gaming laptop or desktop for better gaming experience.

I normally do not mod TS4 at all however this mod fixes nearly 100% of the lagging and freezing. it might be worth your while giving it a go. I do know the modder who made this and his work is safe.
