Dirty plates turn to pile of ashes

This problem or bug is something new, but I don't think the last patch is what did it.   I started noticing little piles of ashes on the table or on the floor where dirty dishes were.  Also, when the sim picks it up it is a trash bag and they stand there holding it in their hand for a very long time.  Once it goes to ashes, you cant drag it to the dish washer or the garbage can.  So I try to find dishes before they turn to ashes and those little piles are everywhere.  I didn't see anything about this on the official forum about this bug.

Oh that is weird. Those little piles of ashes are what the game leaves after a fire to indicate something has been burnt. Usually items like paintings etc as the furniture will just be charred and black. Have you repaired your game lately? I did last night and was very surprised to see that assets I didn't even realize were missing were fixed. I think the recent patches have glitched out quite a few things that haven't been reported yet.
