Death by becoming too energized?
« on: November 17, 2016, 01:16:57 PM »
Does anyone know if you can die from becoming very energized --- or is there something after very energized that can cause death?
I can't remember, right now.  I had my suburban Sims play basketball and invite friends.  The lot was set to the exercise breeze one, sunny effect and child's play.

My city family doesn't have all the skills in the game, except for one or two maxed --- like my suburban family --- The Sullivan's.  The Sullivan's also have a large extended family and more friends --- if that makes a difference about becoming too energized.

Very Energized won't harm your Sim. However, a lot of happy moodlets stacked up can be harmful if the Sim's emotion changes from energized to embarrassed, playful, or angry. I had a very flirty Sim tell two jokes on a date, separated by other socialization, and he went from very flirty to hysterical and died. So, anytime, you have a "very" emotional state, you have to be careful that the Sim does not become too playful or angry or does not get embarrassed (mortified). I think the Child's Play lot trait can give a Playful moodlet, yes? If so, that's a dangerous set-up.

@reggikko o

I'm not using lot traits in my legacy but I do notice that my sims are becoming Playful/Very Playful a lot more often and easily than before. Is it happening in your file(s), too?

When I was playing the Renaissance challenge, Bob Pancakes became Very Playful after a short time of playing Blickblock on the game mat. I don't use the game mat very often, so I'm not sure if that is normal or not. The other Sim I mentioned above was from earlier in the year (the Skill of the Week challenge). I have noticed a slight uptick in Playful moods, but I just got City Living the day before yesterday. I'll keep a look out, though.

@reggikko --- Thanks for letting me know about Sims getting very energized. --- I know to watch for very playful, and my main Sims have the shameless trait, and they hardly ever get angry.  I will switch that lot trait or skip traits on that lot.

If a lot does not have any traits, I don't think a gaming rig for a short time can cause a Sim to become too playful.  Of course, I have a bunch of genius tech gurus with tons of career rewards near the gaming mats, so maybe, if you don't have all that stuff, then, you have to be more careful with gaming rigs.  Maybe it depends on lot traits, too.

I don't know all of Bob's traits, but I know one of them is gloomy, so I don't know why he would get very playful.  If I remember correctly, he's also lazy and a slob --- but a pretty good guy -- all around.

@oshizu --- I believe that my Sims are getting more playful --- except for my main suburban family because that's my oldest game file, and I only put traits on one lot, so far.
