Buying a laptop/desktop for Sims 3

Hello. I tried to send this as a reply to your Buying a Desktop or Laptop for The Sims 3 post but there wasn't a reply button listed. In case that was a closed topic, please forgive my pestering questioning and please let me know if this laptop is any good for playing The Sims 3 with mods properly installed and the RAM is upgraded as all of the other specs are listed and seem in accordance to what you stated as necessity: https://www.cnet.com/products/toshiba-satellite-c55d-b5102-15-6-a-series-a8-6410-4-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd-us/specs/

I am currently playing The Sims 3 on the laptop as I received it and it is lagging more than playing so I wonder if it's just the RAM that is the issue as everything else seemed up to code. I know that the video card isn't all that great but I heard that The Sims 3 plays well on it even though the R7 and the R9 are what's listed at http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_System_Requirements but if you know more about the AMD Radeon R5 video card, than maybe you can help me rule it out as a part of the issue and then I could focus on getting the RAM upgraded so I can make my Sims 3 miniseries, POP. I want to make sure that I have the proper specs before I attempt to use my computer for that big of a project.

The extra memory will help the game run a little smoother, but there are other bottlenecks in the system that will likely cause some slowdowns. One is the slower video memory in the dedicated graphics chip and the slower hard drive speed. If you can afford it, consider adding a solid state drive along with the expanded memory. As long as you keep the game on medium graphics settings you should be okay, depending on how much expansion/stuff/CC/mods/etc. you have installed.

You mentioned making a Sims 3 miniseries, so I'm assuming you're planning some machinima? You should be okay for recording with keeping the above paragraph in mind. For best results, use something like FRAPS or Bandicam and record to an external hard drive. But I would strongly suggest using a more powerful desktop computer for editing and rendering the episodes.
