Ideas/ suggestions for garden and terrace Dynasty house

I recently build a new house for my IDC and I find it very difficult to make the garden/ terrace look like I want to.

Maybe you guys have some suggestions about what to do with it?
The garden isn't to my liking and the terrace around the house is very empty. I don't know what to put there.  ::) Thanks! :D
