aspiration not fulfilling when its been completed by sim

My sims aspiration to have offspring reach the top of their career is not fulfilling although the son is on level 10 of scientist career track.  The son was living in his own house by now so I moved him back into the fathers home but still nothing.  Very annoying.  Am I missing something here or is it just a bug?

Hi @ramona this aspiration has always been quite buggy. Sometimes the requirements register and other times not. I'd imagine that the children sim would need to be in the active household though for the requirements to register at the time of them getting their last and Level 10 promotion and that the parent sim would actually need to have the aspiration chosen at the time of the promotion.

Best advice would be to probably cheat the requirement to register as if you have done everything to get it to complete and it still won't you might as well complete it manually.
