my first alien abduction happened a few minutes ago

I forgot to set my main family's satellite dish, and all of a sudden one of my female young adult Sims wanted to check out a weird light.  I tried to cancel that action in her queue because I realized that she may be about to be abducted, but I couldn't cancel it. 

Anyway, she was whisked away by a blue light with mysterious music playing, and when she came home, I had her husband lend her emotional support.  She felt better, and wasn't dazed anymore.

It startled me a little because it was my first experience with alien abduction.  I have only played TS4, so I never saw how Sims were abducted in previous games.  It looked a lot more intense from the pictures.  Wow.

I've only had GTW for 2 weeks.


Can children be abducted?

Nice, I love the abductions. No children can't be abducted.

Yeah, it was a big surprise.   It is good to know that children cannot be abducted.

I miss the TS2 abductions. They were so dramatic! Also, depending on their aspiration and personality, Sims would react differently. Knowledge Sims: Cool! I just met aliens! Family Sims: Yikes! Aliens! Am I pregnant? TS4 Sims don't really have much of a reaction. My Sim in my Renaissance challenge file was abducted, came back, and just started doing what he was doing beforehand. No biggie.

@reggikko --- I've seen You Tube alien abductions of earlier Sim games.  Wow!  However, my sim was dazed when she came back, and I wasn't used to it.

Yeah, he came back dazed but he had so many focused moodlets stacked up that it didn't affect him at all.
