Why Do People Think Arlo Bunch Is Ugly (Yep I Had To Ask)

Actually, Arlo's not that ugly. I took a good look at him aged up. He seemed rather normal to me. Of course there's the nose, but it's not that big.

Did it look like the Arlo Bunch in the Lessons? Because, not all Arlo Bunches age the same, at least in my experience with game play.

Arlo Bunch, like all original townies, always age up with the same features. However, they can age up with different hair and clothes.
I never really played him, only saw him in glimpses of other peoples stories, but he's not as bad as I originally thought. He just as a big nose and a long jaw.

If you just lower his nose height in CAS he will look a lot better!

Edit in CAS works on any non-occult sim. Or non-pregnant.

Scaling it down so that it's not the size of his foot wouldn't hurt, either.

Also, besides the nose, open up the eyes a bit. Arlo is quite handsome after an Edit In CAS plastic operation.

His brother Ethan looks a lot better though, his face is more open. When my sim was dating Ethan, sometimes I would mistake the two if I was looking at their backs. Of course, it was a bit of a nasty surprise when Arlo turned around and I thought "Ethan? What HAPPENED to you?!?"

I noted that several people said Darlene looked a lot like Wainright...  is it possible that they are more closely related than the other Bunch kiddies?

Why people think he is ugly? Simple, because people didn't have any object to make them feel better. Poor Arlo! Good to know there are Authors and Simmers who love Arlo so much and give him more spotlight and reason for me to love him instead hate him because of his nose

I agree with Luna. I think that’s kinda cruel just look at one person because he has a unique feature. Whatever what people called about him, I don’t care, people have rights to say about they think of. But his nose doesn’t define him as a whole person. I prefer people who is ugly but has kind heart and honest instead beauty with full of fakeness and backstab you from behind.

I have to admit when I first saw Arlo aged up to teen, I wondered what on earth happened.  But he's got the kind of ugliness that grows on you...the more I see YA Arlo, the more I start to think he's normal and even weirdly attractive, he's got that mountain man thing going and I have 1 or 2 female sims who might go for that xD

Yeah. Many sims (expecially the Bunch family and most of Twinbrook) don't have to be perfect lookers. Even the sims I make in CAS aren't always traditionally actractive (i have made many cartoony\anime-based sims as well as more realistic untraditionally actractive sims) and Arlo is'nt even the weirdest looking sim. Many of the sims that start out as kids or toddlers, are made as said lifestage, so they may grow up to look a bit odd. Well, but really it depends on the Original Townie - some become untraditionally actractive, some become rather odd-looking, some turn out really cute and babyfaced even as Elders, some grow into a face that could easily have been the premade face of an YA\Elder sim in town, and some end up with features that don't really fit in at all or maybe would be better\more fitting if the sim had been the opposite sex\gender!
