Help with installing some expansion packs

 Hello, I'm new here and I'm a big sims 4/sims 3 fan. I already have the sims 4, but I was thinking about getting the sims 3. If I get it I want to get some expansion packs with it, but I'm confused about the installation. I was thinking about getting island paradise, pets, university life, and generations. I read Carls guide on installation and I get about installing them in the order they were released. But the only thing I am confused about is what if I get more expansion packs later on. Will my game glitch, or does that only happen you install them when you get them in the wrong order. I just hate my game glitching. Anywho I was wondering if I just get more expansion packs then put them in the order they are released so it doesn't make my game glitch. Bye!

Since most likely you'll be purchasing the digital download of Sims 3, it will download and install whatever packs you've purchased plus the patches. Install order doesn't matter with this version.

 Ok, I get a little bit of it but I'm a little bit confused. I wanted to buy the Sims 3 and the expansion packs on Amazon. Does that count as a digital download or not. If not, can you please put a link in your reply or just tell me where I can get it. By the way, I might have trouble making sentences and trouble with punctuation because I'm still a little young.

Sorry for the confusion.. Hopefully what's below will be more helpful.

Amazon sells the newer version of Sims 3 and expansions/stuff packs. It may or may not come on disc. But will definitely have a game code that will need to be redeemed through Origin. Instructions on that are in the link below.

After you've redeemed the code, you can download and install the game and expansion packs you've purchased using the directions linked below.

Again, you shouldn't have any problems adding expansions/stuff packs later. As after you've redeemed the game codes, you can download and install them via Origin.
