is ITF bug still there?

I'm interested in starting my first dynasty soon, the townie decadynasty. I keep reading the rules of a few different challenges, and they say ITF has a bug suppressing some opportunites, I'm just curious if that's been fixed? I read they dont patch sims 3 anymore, so i figured it was, but I want to know if i should uninstall ITF when I take out my mods before I begin the dynasty challenge, which I'd like to start later today. Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes the suppressed opportunities - aka ITF bug is still around. If you have the digital download version - patch 1.69 of Sims 3, you can go into the launcher and uncheck it from the Expansion & Stuff tab. And play the game that way.

If you don't then it may be a good idea to uninstall ITF, just like you mentioned.

Oh, dear. I had hoped that wasn't the case. Ah, well, thank you anyway for the quick reply! I will be sure to uncheck it.  :)
