WA Travel Glitch *Solution*
« on: July 27, 2016, 11:12:45 PM »
Hi, I know it's been a little while since I posted here. I'm having the problem where if I have a sim travel, nobody in the family can go to school or work when he/she comes home. I've never had this happen before and now it seems to be happening in all worlds. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

Try using Nraas Debug Enabler to fix the problem.

Nraas Debug Enabler

Go to City Hall > Debug Enabler > City Hall Options > Sim > Fix Homeworld. Everything should be fixed and the Sims should be able to go to work/school.

This is a common WA bug. Best thing to do is go back to a previously saved game. However, if you have Nraas Traveler that might help.

The bug mentioned below, isn't the exact same bug, but it is related, and has some helpful tips.

Missing Sims and empty UI when arriving in vacation town

Get Back a Previous Save File

Once the bug has been worked out, use Save As often. Save before and after traveling. That way if something does happen there is a backup to go back to.

Thanks! For some reason, this has been happening more often now than it  used to. I usually save before and after travel when prompted, but don't use the "save as."

I have this bad habit of using Save As, and then save my game as for example:

Town initials, last initials of family and what save. = SVLk01, SVLk02 etc. I started doing this early on as my older computer would crash on me quite often and I would need a save to go back to. So now it's just normal for me to have my save system. It's a life saver. *Snicker*

Hi again! I went over to NRAAS and found a way around this. This bug  has been hitting me every single time one of my sims travels to another country. Before, I would either quit and then re-join the career and use MS to set all stats back to where they were or I'd demolish and replace the work place and do the same. Got tired of that so I decided to ask. Here is what they told me. First of all, you need debug enabler, then go to city hall/debug enabler/Options: city hall/sim/fix homeworld. Voila! Everything is fixed and sims can now go to school and work! :)
