Downloaded CC and Sims 3 won’t run, not sure which file to delete!

I downloaded a whole bunch of custom content and put it into my folder. i previously already had a lot of custom content in my game so i know i did it properly. i don’t want to delete all of it because i spent hours picking it out, but i’m not sure which file is causing the problem. If you have any suggestions i would appreciate it

I've had this happen earlier this year, I moved my mods and custom content to a folder on the desktop for safe keeping and went through it little by little, trying to find out which files were causing the issue. Which was the game not loading.

I went with my mods first and after that I went through my custom content. Here's the steps I took:

1. I copied the files back in small batches of 3 or 4 files at a time.
2. Deleted the game cache files before putting in each batch of files.

3. Launched the game to see if it would load. When it loaded, I went back through and did steps 1 and 2 again until I went through all my mods and custom content.

it worked, thanks so much!! do you have any tips on how to see what’s wrong with cc or how to fix it?

I'm not sure on how to fix broken or corrupt CC, you may have to check with the creator to see if there has been an updated version. I usually just delete it, if I can't find an updated or alternative version.

Though I don't know how well it really cleans. I'm not really familiar with it, as I've only used it a couple of times.

You may want to ask over at ModtheSims if they have any information on fixing broken, corrupted CC.
