Playing the sims from a hardrive! - Mac

I am new here, so sorry if I am posting in the wrong place!

I have recently brought a New Macbook now I have two, one of them is a older model and has a disk drive and the does not. I have installed all of my Sims 3 games and game saves on to my external drive, so I can play the same game saves on both computers and because it gives me more space on both of my computers. I would of downloaded them from Origin onto my external drive but I do not have fast enough internet to install The Sims 3 Base Game and have lost a couple of the serial codes to even activate the games. I have tried editing the "info.plist" file but still have the problem of the disc not being authenticated when I get to the home menu inside the game! Any ideas? Please Help!!!!!
