Deliver the Letter, the Sooner the Better: No mailperson [Fixed]

After moving the postperson into my home four sim-days ago, my sim has stopped receiving any mail.
He's been expecting elements and postcards in the mail.
I vaguely recall postpeople being replaced much more quickly.

I guess a new mailperson will spawn on Monday, for sure, to deliver the bills.
But is this scenario normal?  Four days without mail delivery?

I remember a no mail bug from a long time ago.  If I remember correctly the way it was fixed was by deleting the mailbox and just putting a new one down.  It could be a combination.  The mail person could be in your "not in this world" group but just giving up on delivering for unknown reasons.

Yes there'd been a bug where traveling from the lot after requesting postcards or sending things to Geo Council would result in nothing being delivered, but my sim hasn't traveled since the last mail delivery. That's been fixed, I think.

I've never heard of a not-in-the-word postperson not delivering mail, but I have replaced the mailbox. Unfortunately, today is sim-Friday. Come Monday, if the mail is delivered I won't be sure if it's the new mailbox or the usual bills delivery.
Either way, if mail is delivered on Monday, my sim will be happy.

I seem to remember getting mail on the weekend but I could be wrong!  It does happen.  Hopefully it's fixed one way or another for you soon. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

On Friday morning, I replaced the mailbox then "joined" my sim at her job, so we were gone all day.
But when I got back, the mailbox's red flag was standing and I got everything except one item which can easily be obtained.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for advising me to replace the mailbox. It worked like a charm!

I noticed one of my modded computers is gone and wonder if my gardener or maid is a klepto, lol.

Or a friend that came over!  All clubs now have no swiping as a thing and the house stays locked up!  So glad that it worked out for you and happy that you kept me "posted".

When you did this, did the mailperson keep their uniform? I guess, he/she obviously lost the job. That's a bit disappointing. Are there other mailpeople in the game? When one of my Sims started seeing the mailperson, there were at least three different mailpeople, and they rotated. Glad you found a solution, though.

My mail-lady immediately became unemployed and I haven't checked CAS to see if her outfit becomes available. I doubt it.
Because I've been joining a same at a Get to Work career, I haven't been at home when the mail is delivered. Since I did get the mail, there is a new mailperson.

I've never noticed a rotation. But in previous games, an out-of-commission mailperson was replaced quite quickly.
