Gallery Question

I thought that when you saved a family to the gallery, they would be saved with skills, traits, job, as well as household money on hand.  Yet, when I go to place a family I've played before and I know had over 100,000 simoleans.  Yet when I go to place them in world, they only have 25000 simoleans.  Am I just mistaken in how saving families work or is this a bug of some sort?

They will keep their skills and stuff but not the money. They start with the same money that a new created household would. If you want them to have the money you'll have to use cheats to give it them after you place them back into the world.

I've always found this aspect of saving played families strange and a little annoying too if I'm honest.

Ok, thanks guys.  I guess what I read was wrong before.  At least now I know ^^

You could make a wall, cover it with some of their more expensive paintings, then save it to your gallery. Then, you could sell the paintings a few times, to get their wealth back.

I'll just use a money cheat.  I just thought the money was saved as well as all the other stuff.

In my case i tend to give a few thousand if needed as a "Moving Gift" from my Sim family's relatives..lol  (I'm not fond of the money cheat but will use it for small amounts at times)
