How-To:

1. Go to your Electronic Arts\Saves folder
C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves

2. Zip the game-save.
Find the the game-save and right-click on the folder and select "Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder" from the menu.

*Optional* Rename the resulting .zip folder - Right-click on file > Rename - to give it a new name.

3. Attach it to your thread by clicking the reply at the bottom of the thread and click the + Attachments and other Options. > Attach

4. You may need to put something in the message box above. - Maybe a little note that the game-save is attached.

I'll delete it as soon as I have it downloaded if you'd like.

If you think the EP might be corrupt, try uninstalling and reinstalling the EP.

1. Uninstall the Sims 3 University by going to Uninstall a Program in Control Panel. (Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features)

2. Look for the Sims 3 University pack and click Uninstall.

3. Run Ccleaner and it's registry cleaner. Or a similar registry cleaner.

4. Install Sims 3 University.

It's still recommended to use Ccleaner for best results.

I can't attach it. When I compress it, it's at about 144MB, but the maximum size of attachment is 100,000KB.

Sorry for the late reply. I've actually had some problems getting this site to load for a few days.

Anyway, I actually uninstalled and re-installed the entire game - not just the EP (because like I said before, this happens also if I just return to the main menu and try to load another game) - and guess what? It's still not working! I can leave the load screen on OVERNIGHT, and the load bar won't fill up completely.

And since I started a new game and had the same problem, I know it can't be the save file.

Any more suggestions?

To make sure we're on the same page, you've tried with the new install the following:

1. A fresh Sims 3 folder - No mods or custom content.
2. No game files from previous game.
3. Load game to main menu, and turned off memories, interactive loading screens, and in-game store.
4. Tried to create a new game. --- Is this where it hangs?

If so, try these troubleshooting tips if you haven't done so already.

1. If you're playing the Origin/Digital version of Sims 3 Try disabling Origin In-Game

Open up Origin, Go to My Games. Right click on the game, and select Game Properties, check the box to disable Origin in game, for this game.

Or you can disable it for all games by:

Go to the Origin menu > Application Settings > Origin In Game and make sure it's un-checked.

2. Try playing the game in "Offline" mode -- In the Origin Client, go to the Origin Menu and select Go Offline. -Or- Go to the Options Menu in-game. (lower left hand corner of the main menu) and select Options and go to the Online tab and uncheck Keep Me Logged In.

3. Check your game options. Sometimes lowering in-game graphics options help.

This below might not help the never ending loading screen, but helps clean up files that are no longer in use.

MrsFlynn is doing a terrific job of troubleshooting your problem.  Although, I was wondering if you are using mods?  I have had problems with infinite travel loading screens without using twallen's traveler mod.  I bet if you use that, you will no longer have the loading screen problem.

Okay, I downloaded the base module. However, I read on Nraas' website that I need to download the EP-specific packs.

But when I click on those links to those specific packs, there's no download link.

I am not familiar with Nraas Traveler mod. However the page is saying you need the mod:

Ok, I went ahead and moved all my mods to a new folder, as was suggested

IT WORKED! I an actually make it to University campus now!

So, at this point, it's a matter of determining which of my mods I have to delete.

I'm attaching a compressed version of my mods folder. Tell me ... which one do you think is the most likely candidate?

I am not familiar with a lot of these mods.

However, first you may want to see if there are any updated versions to the older mods that you have from 2011/2012 and/or 2013. As you want as many of the mods to be compatible with patch level 1.67/1.69 as possible for best results.

Then you may need to figure out for yourself what mods might be conflicting or just not working properly. I've had to do this myself with the mods I have used. I ended up having to pick and choose which mods I really wanted. As some either conflicted, or just didn't work correctly.

Take out all of them to start and put in one at a time or a few a time, starting with the ones your familiar with most first.
