The Sims Game Keeps Crashing on Mac

Hi , Im New to the forum and Love the sims4 but   i have recently been having trouble playing the game and keeps crashing on me , and dying to play it! ( i know slight Exaggeration!) really frustrating, i've reinstalled and uninstalled several times and deleted the file options.INI  and I've installed some more ram memory. but still keeps crashing, be grateful if anyone can help?

The specs look good enough to play the game. However, I wonder about the graphics. Maybe the graphics aren't good enough? What graphics settings do you use? You may want to try to use low settings to see if that helps and lower your game resolution.

It's also suggested that if the above doesn't work, try repairing game. In Origin > My Games Tab: Right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair Game.

Hi,
MrsFlynn, thanks for the suggestions i've been playing it for an hour with low-medium Graphics which is a shame! but at least its playable! and lowered the resoultion that could be the main issue thanks for the help the what i have for graphics

It's an older graphics card with not a lot of dedicated memory. This maybe why it's crashing. With lowering the graphics to low, and trying a lower in-game resolution it might help get a couple hours of gameplay at a time.

It's not recommended to push it further than that or it may over-heat the computer and cause further problems. Like damaging computer parts.

is it? its only 2012? how would i go about upgrading that?

how about on the windows pc? as i have that as well but i don't know how to find the specification it says HD Intel Graphics?

It's not possible on a number of Mac computers to replace parts other than may be the system memory. Specially on the iMac. Due to the systems being sealed and parts not easily replaceable as they're soldered to the motherboard.

The game may not do well with the HD Intel Graphics chip. It's recommended to have a dedicated graphics card for best gaming experience.

It may be as easy as adding a graphics card and new power supply to your computer, if it's a desktop. This should allow gameplay at med up to high/ultra high settings.

The reason the power supply is suggested as well is so that the computer has enough power to run the video card well.
