My sim won't finish reading a book.

This should be all solved now as today's patch has made it so sims complete books in one sitting. Provided you have a legit copy of the game and are up to date with your patches, of course.

I'm so glad they finally patched this in. I've restarted a game numerous times and always send them to the library first to skill up. It's so frustrating when they just wander off and do something else, usually before they even get to the second skill level.

I have a love-hate relationship with this now. Its brilliant when my sim is reading a normal book, but they won't put down the skill book until it's been completely read! Or at least my sim didn't want to. I had to keep canceling so she could eat and sleep etc.

I still found my sim wandered off numerous times while just reading a normal book. To say he put the book down around 6 times is not even exaggerating!

Use a children book. I found the skill books or adult books take a long time to finish but my sims finished 2 books with children books.

I've noticed now that my sim will continue reading til its done, but, she will also multitask things she normally wouldn't have...
