If it helps, I got and played Outdoor Retreat about a week ago and found Bees in the Camping Grounds, near the Mascot statue, they showed up at least twice, didn't see any of the other Insects though. :)

Edit, I think I saw and caught some Blue Butterflies too although I do not remember what they were called.
