Replaced Park Lots Question?
« on: March 23, 2016, 10:58:40 AM »
Does anyone know what happens in a game where the community gardens found in Oasis Springs and Willow Creek have been replaced?  I have a game where I've replaced all lots with something else, so while I have a garden lot, it's not where the defaults were.  Anyone have experience with this to know if the Challenge Coordinator will appear in my saved game?

Is it possible to replace the Community Garden behind the BFF House in Willow Creek?
I'd always thought it couldn't be edited since it's not actually a lot.

How did you manage to edit the world items? I didn't even know that was possible?  :o

I think there's confusion about the parks--Magnolia Blossom Park in Willow Creek, Desert [forgot] Park in Oasis Springs, and the little one in Windenberg (Hare Square or something) are Park lots.
What the game refers to as "community gardens" are non-editable areas where our sims can go to harvest, water, and weed but not plant, fertilize, etc.

In Willow Creek
Community gardens can be found behind the BFF House and across the street from the Goth House.

In Oasis Spring
As @reggikko pointed out in another thread, there's one across the street and north of Johnny Zest's trailer.

That's my understanding, but please correct me if I'm wrong.   :-\

Ah... that could be it. You are right @oshizu  that's why I was amazed someone had managed to edit the community garden lots. It didn't occur to me they were meaning the big parks.

Ah, ha ... I was confused.  Thank you all for the replies, but no, I haven't been able to edit the world (wouldn't that be nice?!).  As Oshizu mentioned, I was confusing the default park lots with the community gardens that are part of the map.  I probably hadn't had enough coffee yet this morning to realize there was a difference (lol).  I'm relieved as I was worried I wouldn't be able to talk to the new NPC and participate without starting a new game, when all I'll have to do is go traveling to one of those areas.
