Problems with Bridgport Opportunities

I am hoping the fine moderators will forgive me and relocate if this is the wrong place. It didn't really fit into careers or skills so I thought miscellaneous would be better.

So I get opportunities in Bridgeport that require me to go to the Military Base and City Hall. I thought I couldn't find it but they are connected with the police station, right? Well it doesn't let me go complete the opportunity. I tried clicking on it from the Sim Console but it goes away everytime. Then I go to click on the location but the gold action doesn't show up. I must be the only one getting this since I didn't see anyone else with this problem. I haven't gotten anything for the police station yet but I got several for City Hall. Like the 'Fix Boiler' one and the one where you attend a seminar. My Sim is in the criminal career and he got an opportunity to go to the Military Base for a thief competition.  

Please help.

I have the same problem with the opportunities that are in buildings with the three businesses in one. It could also be because the places you have to go to aren't actually in Bridgeport. I'll get opportunity for the bookstore that's in Twinbrook all the time. I think it's just a major glitch that EA will (hopefully) fix with the next patch.

It's an issue with the way the opportunity is programmed.  It's programmed for the locations in Sunset Valley and Riverview, which are different in Bridgeport.  For example, there's Doo Peas Towers in the original towns, but it's named something else in Bridgeport and it's attached to another business.  The game can't process it correctly.  It's a bug that will have to be fixed by Electronic Arts.  Until then, you'll just have to cancel those opportunities.

Alternately, you can use an empty lot or park (real shame, but if you want to replace it...) to put down the matching office buildings for the opportunities. Perhaps there is a Bistro/Restaurant though in France.

There's just a cafe in France.  Plus the local opportunities don't transfer over to the vacation locations.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one having this issue. That's why I'm so glad to have found this place. I can't just call up my best friend and rant to her. Although I was hoping someone would come on here and say, "Hey silly Sim player you just need to..." and all will be great again. I just got an opportunity that wants me to go to the Corsican Bistro that I had to cancel. It was weird though because the task was to create a new drink which is a LN/ Bridgeport thing. You would think they would have had it correspond to the Bridgeport buildings. O well, I suppose I can't complain. In all my Sim playing (from the orig game). I've never experienced and real glitches. None that ever effected my gameplay I should say. With all the wonderful advancements that EA has done with the game it would be bound to happen one day.
