Adding expansion pack to Late Night improve suburbs?

I'm finding Brigdeport suburbs extremely lacking from the basic game which had libraries, parks and stores.  Does anyone know what would happen if I added the "Town Life" Expansion?   Would it improve my suburb part of the community?   How does adding expansion packs that don't require new neighborhoods such as Generations or Seasons affect my game now that I have Night Life?  Thank you for any responses.

You can add new community lots to Bridgeport in Edit town, including with Town life buildings. You can also add buildings from other EPs. I really like the look of Starlight Shores buildings to create a modern town. The stadium and library look fantastic.
