Wellness Skill
« on: July 17, 2015, 11:05:50 PM »
Okay, I haven't seen the wellness skill come up on this topic but it might be somewhere else so apologies if it's a double post.

I just wanted to point out that if you have your teen sim learn the wellness skill and you have a parent that has the vicarious trait, it doesn't flow on.

To give an example using the Landgraab family: Say Geoffrey (adult) has the vicarious trait and Malcolm (teen) learns the wellness skill via the books, Geoffrey won't learn the wellness skill unless he too reads the books or attends the spa. whereas say, Malcolm learnt the gardening skill, Geoffrey could learn the gardening skill via the vicarious trait instead of the books.

Hope that is useful info for someone out there..

Hmm sounds like an example of a add on, Game Pack in this case, not meshing with the base game. That's a bit sad.

I also found it sad that we can not mentor others in wellness while it seems that it could be since we do have yoga instructor in the new gym. To have the instructor you need a special mats for instructor that could only be accessed in a gym so there is no way to have it at home without some sort of cheating.

Yeah, I added a yoga instructor to my family, he kept his job but mentoring was still not an option.

Sorry for reviving an old post but I just read this.

@Playalot
What did your yoga instructor do as a household member?
Would s/he leave for the spa to work specific working hours?
When joining your family, did the yoga instructor have maxed Wellness?

Did you enjoy having the yoga instructor in your family or was it like adding any other random townie?

Hmm..sorry I don't remember. I do know that if you add a yoga instructor to your family now they will NOT keep their NPC yoga instructor job. So I guess a patch changed something. But yes, generally all the NPC yoga instructors will have maxed the wellness skill... a handy addition to any dynasty family *grin*
