Doctor career -collapsed sim

Hello!

So I recently had my sim start the doctor career from the get to work pack and when she got promoted to R.N. In the daily tasks, the collapsed sim emergency came up....only I couldn't find them! I looked everywhere in the hospital and even outside it and didn't see anyone collapsed. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if this was a glitch or I just truly missed the sim.

When I've played this career the collapsed sim has always been lying on the floor in the reception area. Must have been a glitch.

I've had the same glitch happen a few times. But it's nothing to worry about, just go on with the other task for the day and finish the shift out.
I've had a similar glitch in all 3 of the new careers where the sim your suppose to be looking for sometimes doesn't show up.

I'm currently having a similar problem.  I get the alert to assess the collapsed sim and she walks in the doorway, but I cannot click on her or do anything.  She goes on her own to an open bed, lays down on it, and stays there until my shift is over because there's no way for me to interact with her.  It happens randomly (every day or two).  I have tried resetting her with cheats which makes her get off the bed and then she starts showing symptoms (dizziness), then just gets back on the same bed.  So it's not that I can't find the collapsed sim, it's that I can't interact with them in any way so therefore I obviously can't treat them.  Any ideas?

Best bet is to just ignore it and when everything else has been completed that would allow your sim to normally get the next promotion just use cheats and move on.

Guide to cheats it's much better than constantly being frustrated with what is essentially a game bug that requires a developers fix.

Right, that's what I've been doing. What I was looking for is a way to fix this issue so I can actually play the game as intended.  Thanks tho.

There isn't a work around. This bug requires a developers fix. Not everything can be worked-around by the player in-game, unfortunately.

This goal came up for me. I came to this page and figured I could ignore it. Couple minutes later, a patient collapsed in the lobby, and I had the doctor sim treat them. So just a delay, that's all.
