Club activities and scientific equipment

I decided to select Scientific equipment for my club since one of my Sims is in the Science career.  Instead of him just doing the things I wanted him to do, he repeatedly autonomously kept setting the satellite dish to doing things like bladder failure, dance, etc.  I was going nuts trying to race my Sim to the bathroom repeatedly until I figure out what caused it.  Next time I'll put the satellite in my inventory!
