Junkyard Items and cockroaches keep appearing on my home lot

Has anyone else had the problem of random junkyard items and lots of cockroaches showing up on their lots?  I'm playing in Bridgeport, on the Bling lot that I bulldozed to build my own house.  I've never had this problem in any other games, Bridgeport or otherwise.  This would be awesome if the junkyard items were repaired still, but that's not the case anymore. Any suggestions?

That's really weird. I've never had that happen it could be that your lot is just buggy (no pun intended ) and you might want to try moving your family to another one and see if it happens there too.

I haven't had this happen to me, but at least you get furniture... 
Just kidding, that must get pretty annoying.
1)You could go to edit town and make an identical sized lot next to the one you already have.
2)Then, evict the family (and house!) to the clipboard thing.
3)And finally place them from the clipboard onto the new lot.

I just bulldozed the 50x50 empty lot and moved them in...building house now, so we'll see what happens.

I don't know if this is consistant with Sims 3 or not, but in Sims 2 there were lots with special features that seemed to be attached to the lot and not a spawn point.  In several instances I bulldozed a lot like the Desert Birthday Party lot and built a house on it to take advantage of those features.  That seems to be what you are experiencing.   I try to build the building again to make the home sweeter, thank you for telling me about the cockroaches, because I don't want those, I'll just replace the lot in God Mode.
