Can sim reproduce with an adopted brother or sister?
« on: November 21, 2010, 06:11:04 PM »
While reading the guide 'How to raise children' I was thinking that the reason I never let my sim adopt a baby instead of breeding one themself is because it literally doesn't give the DNA further in the next generation.

But then I was wondering: Isn't it possible that when two kids of the same sim, brother and sister but one of them is adopted, after growing up to young adult, can reproduce together? Or does the family three count both kids as family so they can't reproduce?

I've got two teens sisters in one of my games, who are both adopted, and there's no romantic category when socializing. So no.

The game will see them as brother and sister.  No reproducing.

As I thought.
Thanks to you both! :D For me no adoption, that's for sure.
