Not letting me go to uni

I'm having an issue with not being able to go to university. I took the aptitude test and enrolled but as soon as they start to travel to the university, I get a refund and told "due to unfortunate circumstances you are unable to travel and your money has been refunded." Why is it doing this?

I've never seen this before. Is your sim pregnant? I'm glad you asked this because if it happened to you, it will probably happen to me sooner or later.

No, no one is pregnant. I have 2 in boarding school. But I even took them out of boarding school and re-enrolled in the university to see if that was the issue, and it's still a no go... I have no idea what is going on.

So I jn installed and re installed university life... That didn't help either. It is still telling me that " due to unexpected circumstances, travel plans has to be cancelled. You'll receive a full refund." Also, when I tried to enroll the cost was in the red which is also odd. I have one with a scholarship and one without one. Why won't it let me go to uni? Someone please help me!

I did a little search and it does seem to be a problem with boarding school. Was the problem sim ever in boarding school? Try having a different sim enroll or travel if you have world adventures. The problem sim may be grayed out in the list of sims who can travel along. Hovering over it should tell you why. People have solved this by evicting the problem sim to the dashboard and immediately moving them back. For safety's sake I would make a copy of the family first.

Yea, I put them all in boarding school., there were issues with that as well that I think are contributing to this currant issue. I will try to see if any of them can travel. Do you know if there is anyway to fix this so they can go to the university? Or am I only able to send them to either boarding school or the university and not both?

Try moving your household to the clipboard and then back again in edit town. Copy them to the library first. If that doesn't work you can delete the family and move in the copy. Either way, they'll lose regular wishes and opportunities but keep their skills.

So I did what you said and saved my family in the edit town mode, I also moved my household to a different lot, since I couldn't figure out how to save them to the clip board, and it fixed the issue. I don't know by moving them if that was techniqually saving them to the clipboard but The sim I had that was stuck in the town and not able to travel is now able to travel. Thankyou so much for the help, I really appreciate it!

I'm so glad you're up and running again. I love this game but it can be frustrating at times.
