Star Signs

I was playing one of my Sunset Valley games after installing Late Night, and noticed that my three Sims had been given star signs. So, how did the game know what signs to give them? Was it based on their traits?

I think it is just random what star sign your Sims are given.
In my dynasty game, when Kumquat asked Herbert his sign a little message came up saying that their signs were compatible. After that their romance seemed to move along at a much quicker pace.

Probably random, my game crashed a short time after installing Late Night and afterwards I saw that my old sims had been assigned different signs than they got the first time.

I'm pretty sure it's always randomly assigned. In fact, I just had twins born with different signs!

Well twins with different signs can happen in real life too if say one was born just before midnight and one just after. I am a twin and there is 45 minutes between my brother and I. We do have the same star sign though.

Personally I don't like star signs. I perfer old fasioned turn-ons and turn-off from Nightlife.

Has someone tested if the game looks at in what month/day the Sim has been created in CAS? Maybe if you created a Sim in november, they'll be a Scorpio, etc.

If you create the Sim in Create A Sim, you choose the sign yourself.

I know that. I meant Sims created before the Late Night expansion. E.g.: In sunset valley, etc.
