Originally, I came up with her as part of an ending for a Harvest Moon game of my own design (never submitted to Natsume/Marvelous because I don't want another "We cannot accept games from outside our companies because we are afraid to pay royalties" letter.) Dora is a journalist, who tends to lose track of her common sense (hence her nickname is "Darwin"), but who is totally dedicated to her career. It isn't that she intentionally takes risks - she is just so determined to get the story that she sometimes doesn't notice the danger right in front of her.
