Sims 3 Generations - Daycare career - Cannot interact with toddler

So on my main TS3 save file, my grandmother's Sim has left her toddler (my uncle, lol) in the care of another Sim family that runs a daycare centre. I'm on the job for the fourth day, and today I just can't seem to get my babysitter Sims to interact with my uncle's young Sim self. Whenever I click on the little guy it says "No interaction available." Oh, and it also seems like my grandmother's Sim is stuck on the lot where the daycare is. I have tried resetting the toddler, reloading the game, and rebooting my computer, and nothing has worked!! Could someone please help me figure out how to fix this? It's starting to drive me nuts!

A couple of things you might want to try is:

1. Try evicting the family and then moving them back into their house. As a way of "resetting the household"
2. If you're okay with using Mods, you could use MasterController to Reset Everything - see link below for details on how to to that.
3. Go back to a previous save.

I recently had the No Interaction error come up in one of my current games. Not sure what made it do that other than a random glitch in the game. I went back to a previous save and was able to interact again.
