A Playable Ghost's Lifespan... Is It Extended?

I have a question.
My Generation 3 in my official Dynasty is most likely going to be a ghost from birth (why, see here), and Metro agreed to accept it, IF being a ghost from birth does not affect normal setting lifespan. I am pretty sure it doesn't, but I have never tested this. If any of you knows, please help me. Thank you.

I don't believe it does. I have played with a ghost from birth before, and he lived the normal age.

EDIT- It is possible that the elder life stage is expanded with a ghost. I can't remember.

I have played ghosts from birth to death, and as far as I know, their lifespan is the same as a normal sim's.

Thanks, Ruby and Pally. Ruby, the elder stage doesn't matter either ways, because within the first few days of it the ghost would have to eat Ambrosia in order to become Immortal, and eating Ambrosia would turn the ghost into a Sim for the rest of their eternal life.
