How to get life fruit?

Does anyone have any help/suggestions about how I should get a life fruit? I'm trying to create a simbot, and I need 10, and I don't even have one. I have two sims, one in level ten in gardening and one in level ten in inventing. Do I have to find one, or do I just get it?

I'm really stumped and I'd appreciate some help

Welcome to the forum.  If you have level 10 gardening, then you would need to find special seeds and plant them to get life fruit.  Of course, you could get other plants besides life plants with those seeds, but you can get enough of them, just keep planting them and you will get a life plant eventually.  Depending on what town you are playing, Sunset Valley has quite a few special seeds around the graveyard and science facility and Riverview has some down a path by the water.  I find at least 5 when I go hunting for seeds and if you go everyday, you will get something each day.  I am not quite sure about the other towns, I have not played them as much as SV and RV.
