CAW broken at patch 1.69 - help me downgrade!!

So the world I had previously built, Nestville, eventually became bizarre and annoying to play in, especially since I at first had no idea how I really wanted the world set up and most importantly had not included sidewalks and roads to allow efficent transportation. Now, with all my desired EPs and SPs purchased, and having actually played the game and gotten a good idea of what was needed to make gameplay more fun and far less annoying, I have a PNG file that indicates via appropriately placed text boxes, exactly what I want Nestville to look like in the end, and what needs to go where.

But upon attempting to start up CAW yesterday, I got the error message "Create a World Tool Beta has crashed! Exception information: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." After extensive research I realized the error message was not exactly describing the problem I was having. It turns out that patch 1.69 does not work at all with CAW. The unfortunate thing is, I downloaded TS3 through Origin and until now had it set to automatically update. Since November it has been impossible to install the game through Origin with any patch that IS NOT 1.69. I don't have a physical disc. Can someone give me links and/or instructions on how I can download the game and have the patch remain at 1.67 (now that I have Origin set to NOT automatically update my game)? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I desperately need to rebuild and reinstall Nestville!

PS: For reference, these are the EPs and SPs I plan to have installed in the end. Should I refrain from having any of the following installed while working with CAW?

Generations
Seasons
High-End Loft Stuff

It is a known bug that Patch 1.69 doesn't work with CAW. It sounded as though EA may be working on a fix for that. But don't quote me on that.

You may or may not be able to fix that. It depends on if you have the disc base game version pre-2012. If you do, just uninstall base game, and reinstall base game. - From what I understand. I have the full-disc version of the game. So I'm only going on what I've researched on. It doesn't matter what expansions/stuff packs you have installed. It's more based on the patch level.

If you have the full-digital version you maybe out of luck on down-grading the patch. As Origin doesn't allow to roll-back patches or down-grade to 1.67

OK so I just bought a disc off Amazon but unfortunately was unable to have the seller confirm the version prior to them shipping it out, so now I'm just waiting for it to arrive. But when it does, how will I be able to tell whether it's the right one?

If the box art looks something like this, then you've got the Original Sims 3.

However, EA has now come out with a patch through Origin that will allow users of the digital-download version to play and use CAW. It was released Jan.5th.

Thanks! I was able to open the program again, thank goodness! I guess that means my significant other can have the disc when it comes.
