Sims 3 mods and packages won't show up?

Finally got my game fixed and now I have another issue. My sims 3 game refuses to load up my mods and packages. I have deleted the recent things I have got. I have started a vanilla game and put my mods folder in there. I have done the half and half separation of cc. I have restarted my computer. I have cleared caches. I have checked to see if my sims 4 game is having the same issue, it is not. I have also tried the game with only the "no intro," that did not work either. Due to the fact right at the minute one of game files is using something that mods have to be present for, if I don't get it fixed it will go corrupt. Sorry to bother you guys again.

Update: Everything is in the correct place, the resource file was replaced and that did not fix the issue. Will keep on trying things.

I'm not sure what's going on. I maybe repeating some steps that you've already tried, so bear with me.

A Mods folder needs to be created inside of your Sims 3 folder [\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3] and add a copy of the the Resource.cfg file to it.

Create a Packages folder inside the mods folder. So it looks something like:
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

Install all your package files inside the Packages folder. Extracting mods maybe a little different using a Mac. So I'm including the link below.

Yes, everything seems to be in the correct place.

Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Mods/Packages

Inside the Mods file is the Overrides, Packages, Resource.cfg

Everything also seems to be capitalized correctly. Thank you for helping me on this issue, I really appreciate it.

Sorry if I confused you, but sadly it has not shown up yet.

After compressing my mods folder again and putting my mods into the "Override" folder the game is working again. I'm completely confused why it had stopped working correctly in the first place and why the mods decided it needed to be in the overrides file for it to work.(Even though it has worked for months in the Packages file.) I have come to the conclusion that my game has a mind of it's own and was perhaps on strike. I'm not even sure why. Sorry for bugging you guys at the forum, I just thought my game stopped functioning correctly and just found out it was playing mind tricks on me.

Sorry again for another message, but some cc isn't working and some is. It's strange enough that I have decided just to reinstall the game see if that helps and if not just factory reset my computer. Thank you for helping me on this issue.
