Altering certain career routes (related mod)

I'm currently using the careers mod for the part-time jobs that boost progress in the full-time ones, though there's one question from it pertaining to Law Enforcement and Music; how exactly do you get to choose which route the Sim takes in the event of level 3 in its' related part-time?

It instantly sent mine into Special Agent branch (Vice Squad) upon joining Law Enforcement. What if I wanted him to join the Forensics?

Depending on where you got the career mod, say for example it's a Nraas mod. You maybe able to get better help by asking over there. As they maybe more familiar with it.
