Motherlode!! I like make needs static on occasion but it konks out my fairy and witch's powers. CAS to change townie traits/looks is another major favorite as I typically attack several townies in SV immediately after I start a new game, Ethan becomes a brunette with a different hairstyle, Jared gets 2 traits changed occasionally he also gets new hair and a scruffy 5 O'clock shadow beard and it improves him tremendously, Claire gets a makeover after the kiddo is born, Christopher gets new hair....etc....

If they had to take away all but one cheat...I'd vote to keep hideheadlineeffects on/off.

I'm probably the only simmer who can't stand plumbbobs and thought/speech bubbles, but I really can't and I especially hate them in screenshots.

@Trip You're not alone, I refuse to have plumbobs and speech bubbles  :P One managed to get in my ID and now I have to go hunt down the Sims involved in the offending screenshot D:

I think Buydebug is one of the more useful cheats, the fog emitter is something I used to use a lot to get screenshots once I found the codes.

Testingcheatsenabled true because then I can look after kids easily and maintain their moods at work and school. It also unlocks a bunch of other cheats.  :D
I'm neurotic all right...

I need to do some research and look up all the cheats. I just learned motherlode a few weeks ago and I've been playing the sims for over a year! Lol. I didn't know about hideheadlineeffects, definitely good to know for screenshots. And, what is buydebug? Thank you kindly!

Buydebug is the one that lets you buy things like spawners and usually unbuyable stuff. You can only activate it after enabling testing cheats though

MoveObjects on - I have to be careful with it, as at times it can interfere with pathing when I place something creatively, so for things like placing chairs at chess boards and dining tables, where I need to know the furniture will work there, I turn it off.

I am also pretty quick on the Motherlode cheat. Also, TestingCheatsEnabled true, for mailbox options, editing sims on the fly and the motive and relationship sliders. Not all the time, but if I have to have all my Sims free to do something (a wedding, a bitrthday party) I'll top them all off so they don't wander off to do something else when I need them to be someplace specific.

Motherlode, motherlode, motherlode.

As a broke college student, I wish it worked in real life. Not even in my twenties and I have already had crazy bill collectors come after me.

i never use EA cheats.

i use twallan master controller and story progression, but it s more making the game better (like some EA "cheats") as cheating.

money is so easy to do, go grab some flowers first day and you are fine for a long time. (Not only way to br quickly over rich),

I like constrainfloorelevation false.  It basically lets you adjust walls and foundations/decks like the terrain.

When in build/buy mode and designing houses you can actually make a ground floor garage with garage door connect to a house built on a foundation as well as other stuff.  Although you have to use a plain wall color when doing that or the wall design will be very messed up looking.

You can also adjust the heights of foundations/decks to make multilevel decks easier or adjust the land after you built on it if it's not level.

I don't consider this a true cheat since it's only used when building to make the buildings seem more realistic although the game sometimes has strange effects for making walls different levels than the standard height.

testingcheatsenabled true
Mostly used for debugging purposes, though Nraas' mods do a great job as well with that.

I used to insert a lot of cheats, but since I found my way to become filthy rich I found myself relying on them a lot less often.
