Friend Reparations

I never had a problem with paparazzi bothering me when being a celebrity like most people have, but one thing I did notice that got under my skin me is how it damaged my friendships when false claims were made.  Anyone think of, or know of a mod that automatically repairs your friendships if you win a slander lawsuit?  Winning a lawsuit seems pointless for only a couple thousand simoleans.  Also repairing such a large number of friendships one of my Sims has (over 25) is horribly time consuming, especially when another false claim can come in before they are all repaired.  If anything it should at least be a nice patch.

Never heard on a mod doing this, only about option in mods for switching off the celebrity system.

I don't play with Celebrities on, so I've never experienced that situation.  But I do know that Nraas Master Controller can help repair relationships.

i was on that one, but i think it doesn't repair a specific category like the victims of the celebrity system

Unfortunately you have to have the celebrity option turned off before you make a new family otherwise they can still become one.  I turned it off after my friendships got damaged three times in a row, but the troubles still came.

I just thought it would seem logical that your friendships would be back to normal when the lies are busted in the courtroom.  This is the first time I would really consider making a mod myself, but my idea sounds a bit more complicated than just adding in some extra models.    Unless of course there is a seasoned modder out there who could do this with their eyes closed.

did you try to turn it off using mastercontroler? Maybe it works better this way?

There is no mod that repairs damaged relationships from what i know, but you can use a mod disabling false accusations ("Shimrod's no disgrace for everything") and then modify the relationship bar with testingcheatsenabled true. I play with this mod and it works fine, no more stupid rumors !

Thanks, I will definitely try that out.  My Sim roomies have progressed so far that it's just a kick in the face to restart them.  You would think deleting the celebrities options mid game would take out the effects too.

There is an option on Nrass story progression to stop the decay from celebrity accusations. You need the base story progression mod and also the optional relationships story progression module. You find it by going to story progression - general - options:friendships - celebrity - disgrace relationship change. The default is set to minus 10 but just set this to 0 and you can still be disgraced but there will be no changes to your relationships.
